Men's Club - A.G.M. 2011

The A.G.M. of the Men's Club which was scheduled for Monday next 31st of October (Bank Holiday) has been postponed until Monday 7th of November at 9pm.

Nominations for positions on the committee for the forthcominig year will therefore now be accepted until Monday 31st of October. All nomination papers must be signed, proposed and seconded to be received by the Honorary Sec, Mr. Tom Downes, by 9pm on Monday 31st.

Golfer of the Year 2011.

Congratulations to Finbar Boyle, our hard working juvenile convenor, who sealed his status as the 2011 Golfer of the Year by winning the final qualifying competition over the weekend. Finbar had built a commanding lead early in the season as he had registered two wins together with 3^rd place and 5^th place finishes in the first four qualifying competitions. He obviously then decided to give the rest of us a chance as he didn’t register any further ‘order of merit’ points between his President’s Prize win in June and his latest success on Sunday last. Overall with three victories and the two other high placed finishes there can be no doubt that Finbar is a deserving recipient of the 2011 Ruairí Dunne Golfer of the Year Trophy.
